If you have ever gone to Covent Garden and never gone inside the Build-a-bear shop, you have wasted your life, my friend. There is just a certain excitement about creating something. About mixing and matching. Getting it just how you like it – no compromises, no shame. PizzaBuzz is the Build-a-bear of the food world. Move over, average pizza joint. There’s a new favorite in town.

Disclaimer: I was invited to review PizzaBuzz. Queue usual blah about how all the opinions are my own (as if anyone would ever admit otherwise).

Sleek, modern interior, coupled with an amazing range of not just pizza bases (anything from the tomato based Margherita to the white sauce based Bianca), but also protein (beef mince, sausage, chicken, and I am told an ever larger variety for fish) and cheese (give me the option of having goat cheese on my pizza and you are a god), means PizzaBuzz is a great destination for anyone who wants to enjoy a great pizza and a great night out.

I put a spelt on you

The pizza dough is made with spelt flour as well, which Steven assures me makes everything much more authentically Italian. Spelt is also easier to digest than wheat so having a combination means that the PizzaBuzz version of dough is easier on the stomach. I think being able to engineer your perfect pizza is great, especially if you’re a foodie and know your combos. If you don’t trust yourself, there are a few options of pizzas with all the toppings, so rest assured you will be in good hands.

There are very few places in London who I see go so eagerly above the normal tomato base, and all in all I enjoyed an amazing Rossa base, beef mince, with aubergine, goats cheese and cherry tomatoes on top. The team was incredibly friendly, the ingredients are all diverse and quite good quality wise. In terms of drinks, they have that bottomless machine with endless flavour options which was in truth the only reason I ever went to FiveGuys.

PizzaBuzz also has a bottomless drinks offer: £29.95 per person for 2 hours, 1 Pizza (Worship Street Loves or customised up to 3 toppings), bottomless drink on tap (beer, red wine, white wine and bubbles all on tap) which I will definitely take up at some point. They also sell the cutest little ice cream boxes, which include my ever favorite flavour “Bubblegum”.
