Truthfully, I am jealous of Soho and the myriad of bakeries and cafes that it has to offer, the sheer unlimited potential for meeting friends of work mates during a break or two. To some extent, I do feel less bad when I realize that many of them are a hit-and-miss, and Gail’s Bakery kinda fits that description as well.

Gail’s Bakery has a nice setting – overlooking Wardour Street and St Anne’s Court, great for people watching, light and airy. I would definitely come around for a quick chat with someone.
I’m not sure I would order much. The tea was sub-optimal – fragrant water at best, and the walnut cake, while rather pretty, didn’t have much in terms of texture or taste. Fair enough that it was towards the end of the day so perhaps the lack of freshness took away from what it could have otherwise offered.
