Boisdale of Canary Wharf

If anything, I find that Boisdale is in a way fitting to Canary Wharf, and gives me the sensation of what I would expect to be a Gentleman’s Club. Not that it’s very far off – the ratio of men to women is quite clear in that regards here, but I mean it in a nicer way. There is certainly something very Chicago-esque (talking about the musical) about this bar.

It’s also rather tricky getting to the place, as you have to find a lift somewhere in the mall (which I a way does add a sense of exclusivity to Boisdale), but once you do, it’s a great place to rub shoulders, I assume, and rejoice in the setting of what was one of Financial Times’ Top Five Cigars’n’Bars 2011. From across the window you can see the wharf, in all the glittery splendor of Christmas.

They have Rekorderlig. Beyond that, I am still finding my feet when it comes to reviewing bars so don’t judge me (too) harshly.
