In what is the grinding machine of lunch break queues in the Wharf, Leon is exactly what it brands itself as: a fast food chain with a twist of “natural”. Despite it’s rather Pret-esque appearance and humble Mediterranean roots, does this establishment manage to detach itself from the sea of average that seems to plague the financial hub?

In short – not quite. My Chargrilled Aioli Chicken wrap had little chicken and even less aioli, and was almost just as hungry once I had munched through the 5£ lunch. It was more tasty than what Pret has to offer, and it did feel much more healthy, if not just by virtue of my wrap not being filled to the brim with cheese and mayonnaise. Their Thai curry is supposedly not as good as the one that Eat has to offer (I honestly don’t know since when has Pret/Eat become the benchmark for restaurant chains on my blog).
