The gelato place is simple, and small, as they tend to be. Blue sofas, at times adorned with the markings of previous customers, sit there lonely, in quiet waiting, for the next people to offer them company.

The selection is uninspired – this is genuinely your typical gelato place. In terms of the ice cream, it also fulfills the role of your average ice cream parlour, with the exception that the coconut sorbet (perhaps this being a more general fruity problem) tasted more of industrial flavouring than a natural flavour.
Now – I don’t mean this in the idea that the flavouring was artificial (a good article on natural vs artificial flavours here), nor that these flavours are always a bad thing; I do often crave “bubblegum” flavour and that doesn’t really grow on trees. Just when you promote yourself for natural flavours, you should maybe try and stick to that.
